Terms of Service

Effective date: 23 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Localization.One. By creating an account, using the service or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

Service provider

Localization. One is provided by ONOSTAS, marketing in storitve, d.o.o., Gabrov trg 24, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. Company registration number: 8451303000. Tax number: 54242878. Contact: [email protected].

Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure and promptly notify us of unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for assigning appropriate project permissions. You must be legally able to enter into a contract; consumers under the age of majority may use the service only with permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Your projects and content

You retain ownership of the files, strings, translations, comments and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, copy, transform and transmit that content only as necessary to provide, secure and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights and lawful basis required to upload and process the content and to invite collaborators.

Public projects and public invitation links may expose content and contributor information to other people. Review project visibility and permissions before publishing a link.

AI and machine-generated translations

AI and machine translations may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. They are provided as drafting assistance, not professional, legal, medical or safety-critical translation. You are responsible for reviewing translations and deciding whether they are suitable for release. Relevant project text may be processed by OpenAI or Google when those features are enabled, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malware, probe or bypass security, disrupt the service, scrape it at unreasonable volume, resell access without permission, or process content that you are not authorised to use. We may restrict abusive traffic or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

Plans and subscriptions

The Free plan is subject to the limits displayed on the pricing page. Premium is sold per project at the price shown before checkout. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and may apply its own customer-facing terms.

You can cancel through the project's subscription settings and Stripe Customer Portal. Unless the portal states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and Premium remains available until then. Plan limits, prices or features may change for future billing periods; we will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting an active subscription.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Free for indies and open source

Complimentary Premium offered through the Free for Indies programme is discretionary and subject to the eligibility and credit-link conditions shown on the programme page. We may review eligibility or end complimentary access if those conditions are no longer met.

Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal or product reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes or discontinuation affecting paid users.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful use, security risk or non-payment. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and without implied warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not responsible for decisions made solely on machine-generated translations, user content, third-party services or failures outside our reasonable control.

For business users, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the affected project during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss to the extent permitted by law. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Courts in Ljubljana, Slovenia have jurisdiction for business disputes. Consumers may also use the courts and complaint mechanisms available under mandatory local law. Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve the issue.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by a new effective date and, where appropriate, notice in the service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
